Pakistan urged to buy sacrificial animals online because of COVID-19

Pakistani authorities urged believers to buy animals to make sacrifices for the Kurban Bayram holiday via the Internet due to the pandemic of coronavirus infection, Reuters reported. It is reported that Pakistani authorities urge Muslims to refrain from going to the market and, if possible, order animals for sacrifices online. Otherwise, Pakistanis are asked to wear personal protective equipment while visiting markets. The Agency notes that due to the pandemic, the number of visitors to markets and fairs in Pakistan has almost halved. At the same time, the authorities believe that residents of the country need to refrain from traveling to other regions in order to stop the spread of infection. By July 28, more than 270 thousand cases of coronavirus of a new type were confirmed in Pakistan. More than 6 thousand people became victims of COVID-19 complications in the country.
