Bullets in the monarch: as an anarchist killed the king of Italy Umberto I

July 29, 1900 king of Italy Umberto I was shot and killed in Monza by the anarchist Gaetano Bresci. Before that, he survived several assassination attempts. The radicals announced the hunt for the monarch because of dissatisfaction with his political course. Umberto I was passionate about colonial expansion in Africa, which negatively affected the economic situation of Italy. In addition, he brutally suppressed the popular protests.
